Workshop Recording - Tee Shirt Yarn, oh the Possibili"tees" - with Linda Lutomski
In October 2024, I was delighted to welcome guest teacher Linda Lutomski to join me for an online workshop exploring how to use tee shirt cotton to create "tarn" or "tee-shirt yarn".
In this recording of the original live workshop, Linda helps you to discover how tee shirt yarn can be used with loops, on its own, or with purchased yarn, allowing you to create a wonderful weaving material for yourself.
The recording will guide you as you start with a tee shirt and prepare your own yarn for weaving on a traditional potholder loom. Linda will talk about making potholders, coasters, trivets and rugs using the same materials, only in a different scale and with some adjustments to the preparation. She will share how alternative looms can be used for thicker or larger weaves, allowing you to continue your adventures with this versatile media beyond the class!
