Originally recorded at the Weaving Way Community meeting in November 2025, we heard from Deborah Jean Cohen in conversation with Kate Kilmurray, where she shared about the creation of her book Radical Potholder Weaving, her healing journey through cancer, and her joyful new love of horseback riding. Deborah has long been a passionate advocate for bringing a fresh, modern approach to weaving, and her work has inspired countless makers.
It was especially meaningful to host Deborah again, since it was during her very first talk with the Weaving Way Community in 2021 that she connected with fellow weavers and found the spark that led to the first edition of her book.
Following the session and with classic generosity, Deborah also shared an adaptation of a Mario Ballocco pattern completely FREE for the Weaving Way Community. You can download it here.
