Following two events focusing on helping beginners to learn to weave, I am delighted to be returning to Ojai-based stationery store Noted, to host a workshop for those who are comfortable with basic handweaving techniques and would like to deepen their experience and skill.

In this two hour in-person workshop, we will look at ways to prepare to weave; how to slow yourself down to allow your creativity to truly express itself freely. We will explore a variety of weaving techniques, including split loop, double strand and knot techniques.

We will also look at how to combine different textures and colors to make sure that your weaving is a personal expression and truly your own. Sustainability will also be something we consider, as I encourage you to bring your own adult socks along and I will demonstrate how you can repurpose them for use in your handweaving, giving the fibers a new lease of life.

You should bring your own stash of loops or purchase loops of your choosing from my website to create your weavings. I have a range of cotton loops, as well as specially curated bags of hand-dyed cotton and wool loops.

The workshop will take place Saturday, December 10th from 10am-12pm (PT).

Noted's beautiful store has a light and bright crafting space above their retail store, which is where the workshop will be held:

423 E. Ojai Ave

The workshop costs $50 per person and you will need to bring your own small metal loom and cotton / wool loops and old adult socks. Materials can be purchased from my online store ahead of the workshop.

I very much look forward to helping you deepen your skills and connection to this craft.
