In honor of Mother's Day, I am delighted to be partnering with domecíl, to host a workshop for grandmothers, mothers and their children to come together and explore the wonderful craft of handweaving.
Weaving is the perfect activity to make something simple and heart opening with your hands. The workshop will give families, friends or loved ones of differing generations the opportunity to connect through a calm and fulfilling activity.
Suitable for adults and children aged 8 and up, together we will discover this ancient craft. The class is suitable for mothers bringing children, grandmothers and grandchildren, and even mothers and their mothers!
By the end of the class we will have produced a beautiful and functional potholder in a single color to use in the kitchen, dining room, or perhaps as a display for a favorite toy or treasured nature find. You can either share one weaving kit between two, or have a weaving kit each to create your own potholder.
The workshop will take place Saturday, May 13th from 11am-1pm (PT) at domecíl, Santa Barbara.
The workshop will be held at:
1221 State St
Suite 7, Victoria Court
In the Arts District of Santa Barbara
The workshop costs $50 per pair if you share a weaving kit (see below). If you are purchasing individual weaving kits, the cost of the workshop is $50 per person attending.
Attendees will also need to order at least one of my loom and loop kits here in order to take part. The kit is custom-made to the highest quality and its portability means you can use your hands to quiet your mind wherever you go. You can either share one kit between you or order one each, depending on your preference.
Please order your kit no later than May 11th. I will have it available at the time of the workshop.
I very much look forward to welcoming you to this very special workshop together.
