WWC Recording - Suzanne Hokanson on weaving with found materials

Originally recorded at the Weaving Way Community meeting in March 2025, we heard from Suzanne Hokanson, in conversation with Kate Kilmurray.

Suzanne's talk inspired us to weave with whatever materials we have to hand, as she spoke about her completed series of 11 Potholder Pro weavings she created for a New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA) funded exhibit. Her work incorporated scraps from 11 different local manufacturers, weaving with everything from solder to aluminum tile edging, crystal and tire pieces, to inhaler gaskets and coated wire. Oh, the possibilities!
