Originally recorded at the Weaving Way Community meeting in September 2025, we heard from Terri Frantz in conversation with Kate Kilmurray.
Terri spoke about the deep connections and the new pathways which have been intertwined through her life thanks to the Weaving Way Community. In Terri's own wonderful words:
"These Weaving Way Community meetings have been a blessing and a learning experience for so many of us as we connect with each other. Some of these connections go from virtual friendships to actual visits with other weavers we have connected with along our life’s journey. We share weavings, techniques, recipes, even some of the “stuff of life” with each other. We laugh, we cry, we share creative thoughts, and interact in professional and personal ways. We connect. We weave the tapestries of our lives."
Terri recently spent time with another of our community members, Linda Lutomski, where they hand-dyed loops and created new weavings and baskets from these beautiful one-off pieces. Terri's talk looked at these new works, as well as reminding us that art is soothing, memories are important and creativity thrives in connections. She was inspired on this topic by a quote from her late husband Ron, who used to say "ain't no hill for a climber", a fitting sentence as Terri spoke about the hills and valleys of her creative journey alongside the grief of loss this past year.
