Intuitive Weaving Workshop at MakingCo

I am delighted to be collaborating with MakingCo to hold a special version of my Intuitive Weaving Workshop. 

Perfect for those who are comfortable with the basic techniques of handweaving on a 7x7 inch loom, this class can help you to make the practice your own and deepen your weaving experience.  

When you first learned to weave, you began with established patterns; now it's time to leave the patterns behind and begin weaving as a deeper expression of self.

You'll learn advanced handweaving techniques, develop your connection with design and explore your personal weaving style. The workshop will delve into using hand-dyed loops, variegated loops and textured loops in your weaving practice and you'll understand how you can combine these elements to find your unique weaving aesthetic.

Most importantly, you'll sink into the meditative experience and tap into the quiet stillness that is the root of your authentic creativity.  The workshop will guide you back to your innate inner knowing and help you access your creative voice.  The pieces that emerge from the Intuitive Weaving Workshops truly represent 'windows' to our souls.

Supplies:

Workshop attendees will need the following (all available from my website):

- a 7x7 inch metal handloom

- a small bundle of speciality loops

- one pack of solid colored loops

The workshop takes place on Saturday, 8th October at 10am (PDT).

Cost:

$50 for the workshop, bookable via MakingCo.

Class duration: Two hours

Skills level: Weavers who are confident with basic handweaving skills.
