I hope you can join guest teacher Brenda Hopkins for this versatile and fun workshop on how to weave home textiles from discarded t-shirts.

Focussing on recycling and playing with color, Brenda's workshop is a great opportunity to handweave on a pro-size loom, while giving new life to materials which might otherwise go to waste. You can also use t-shirts which have a special meaning for you or your family members, turning them into beautiful and functional items which help maintain that emotional connection to a moment or an experience.

The workshop will take place via Zoom on Sunday, May 19th 2024,  11-1 pm PT /  2- 4 pm ET.

The workshop would suit those who already have basic handweaving skills. To take part in the class, attendees will need:

- a 10” loom
- Six T-shirts in Large or X-large
- a crochet hook to bind off
- a rotary cutter, self healing cutting mat & ruler

- Optional - tailors chalk, marking pencil, or #2 pencil to make lines to cut if you don't have a rotary cutter. Also optional, if you prefer not to weave just with your hands, you can use a weaving hook like this one from my shop

Cost per attendee: $50.

The class will be held online via Zoom and we very much look forward to seeing you May 19th.  Details of how to access the workshop will be sent closer to the date.

A recording of the class will also be provided after the event by email, for all paying attendees.
