Slow Stitched Weavings Workshop at MakingCo

I am pleased to continue my workshop programme hosted with Making Co, running a series of new classes in collaboration with stitcher Emma Freeman.

Over two sessions on Saturday January 8th and 15th 2022, we will gather together to create beautiful small weavings on intimate 7x7 inch looms, then learn how to add simple hand stitches to our pieces.  I will guide you through creating the weavings the first week and Emma will guide you through the process of adding the stitches the second week.

Both fiber practices invite us to slow down, connect to our bodies and to others in an intentional and meaningful way.  If you are searching for a meditative practice to connect with your inner self and your creative spirit, this simple experience is truly transformative.

No previous weaving or stitching experience is necessary and we welcome anyone who is curious and wants to explore with us.

Workshop one (weaving) takes place on Saturday January 8th, 2022 from 10-12pm (PT).

Workshop two (stitching)takes place on Saturday January 15th, 2022 from 10-12pm (PT).

The cost for both workshops is $100 per person in total.  You will also need the following materials:

- A loom and loop kit with your choice of one solid color loop bag (makes two weavings)

- Stitching thread and needle (your choice of black or white thread)
